According to UK newspaper The Daily Mail, Malaga is set to be the new Barcelona thanks to a multi-million Euro regeneration project, and several new galleries and museums which is changing the face of Malaga, from simply the closest airport for holiday makers to find sun to a world class cultural destination.
Malaga has several museums and galleries these days, most within walking distance of each other which even the most ardent culture freak will lose themselves in and the additional good news is that for the moment at least, the galleries are not overcrowded. Visitor numbers however are soaring with many people coming to Spain not for the beach but for the culture and fine food available everywhere.
The sea port of Malaga also welcomes some of the largest cruise ships, further enhancing the Malaga brand.
