Work is about to start on a new theme park in Estepona which is set to open by Easter 2015 featuring prehistoric animals, the first of its kind in Andalucia.
As well as this new prehistoric park there will be two other parks which will be focused towards leisure activities. “The idea is to make three parks which, although not too large, overall require a large area,” said the technical director at Geopark – the company in charge of the project – Miguel Ángel Carrillo.
With a budget of 400,000 Euros, this dinosaur themed park is the first project of its kind in Andalucía. There are only five or six similar parks in the rest of Spain.
The second of the two parks is already in operation with several activities on offer such as zip wire, paint balling with these and similar activities being run by local schools. The third park will be totally devoted to leisure activities and there are plans for a go karting circuit amongst the attractions.
