Just thirty minutes drive from Puerto Banus is the beautiful, sleepy Castillo de la Duquesa where there some lovely unhurried cafes and restaurants in the narrow streets and a lovely quiet beach as well as the castle itself, which is an 18th Century fortress built in 1767 by Francisco Paulino of Seville.
The castle is open to visitors. There is a beautiful open court yard where weddings and music events take place.
This part of the Costa is quieter, less hurried and more chilled with restaurant and bar prices are much lower! We recommend you visit a lovely part of the Costa del Sol on your villa holiday in Spain.
Here are some pictures we took an a visit just a few days ago.
