A recent report highlights a little heard of problem that is now making the news here in southern Spain.
When you make an online air reservation, be sure to double check the booking very carefully for typing mistakes, from the spelling of your full name (as silly as that may sound), to the number of your passport and other important identity information! The worst that can happen is that an airline can refuse to accept your booking at the airport because the name on the booking is not the same as the name on the ticket you printed, even if there is just one slight spelling mistake or missing character.
Certain destinations like the USA, do not allow any typing mistakes whatsoever while in Europe, some airlines are more flexible than others but many like Easy Jet make an administration charge of between 25 and 60 Euros (depending on how long before your flight) per person to change the name of the ticket into its correctly intended form. Airlines like Air France, KLM, Iberia, Air Europa and others do not allow customers to change their name, nor personal details.
