Figures for the Malaga province have recently been released and confirm that 2015 was a record year for visitors to the area and also that the province continues to be a top performer for reducing the number of unemployment. The services sector continued to be the main generator of jobs in Malaga last year, employing over 500,000 people. Construction added 1,700 new jobs and farming 2,700. Industry, on the other hand, lost 6,900.
In the last year, the sight of cranes heralding construction works have returned all over the coast and so it would seem that the economic crisis here in Spain is slowly coming to an end.. Whilst the outlook is looking good, the government must strive to ensure there is no repetition of the downward spiral that threatened the economy of Spain so badly.
It is expected through 2016, to see an upward trend generally in most sectors.
