We reported on this blog a short time ago that the Camino del Rey will be opening to the public in time for Easter. It has become a very hot subject and a major tourist attraction with tens of thousands of bookings made online – so much so that the booking website crashed for a short time. Sadly, booking the adventure is only available online.
The attraction opens later this month on March 28 at the start of the Easter holidays and will have a capacity of 600 visitors per day but with a walking time of three hours and the heights involved, this is not for the feint hearted and unfit! Visitors will be obliged to wear a safety hat for the visit.
The attraction has become such a big thing in southern Spain that the guidebook Lonely Planet has designated it a “must do” for 2015.
