During this globally difficult time, travel for everyone has been difficult to non existent.. At the time of writing, Spain is not open to foreign tourists but this situation will hopefully not last for too much longer.
The Spanish government have set out a four stage plan whereby the country could be open for foreign tourism and visitors soon, all being well.
Phase one has already started with some restaurants and shops gradually opening.
Phase two will start from May 18. Hotels and apartment complexes will be available for internal tourism only, but will not be allowed to have open their swimming pools and common areas however this does not apply to private villa rentals where the use of swimming pools is permitted. The above restrictions will vary from region to region within Spain and its islands and is subject to continual change.
It is hoped and indeed possible that by July tourism will be opened up to international clients.
What is for certain is that it is a much safer option to rent a private villa with its own swimming pool, than stay at a hotel, so as to keep your contact with other people to a minimum.
We have a full range of villas with private swimming pools available for rental during July, August, September onwards and whilst we are watching the evolving situation closely, we are happy to advise our clients on the current Spanish government advice as we receive it.
